GrotonNew London Airport (tel 860/445-8549) has a limited service to the rest of New England, along with several car rental outlets on-site; you can also arrive year-round in New London by car ferry from Orient Point on Long Island (Cross Sound Ferry, 2 Ferry St, tel 860/443-5281, www.longislandferry.com ). Reservations are strongly recommended. Greyhound and Bonanza both serve the town, which is also the center of SEAT's far from comprehensive local bus system (tel 860/886-2631).
The New London Trolley Info Station has brochures and helpful staff at the corner of Golden Street and Eugene O'Neill Drive (tel 860/444-7264). It's open daily in the summer, 10am4pm; in winter, FriSun 10am 4pm. The Southeastern Connecticut Chamber of Commerce has offices at 105 Huntington St (tel 860/443-8332) but is only open weekdays.
